How We Provide Care

Our Patients

Ameriprime Hospice will consider patients for admission for the following reasons:

• Patients with limited life expectancy
• When patients and family members choose to focus more on symptom management rather than curative treatment
• When patients and family members decided to choose no extreme measure to sustain life
• When patients have frequent hospitalizations
• There is a progressive weight loss
• Mental abilities are deteriorating
• Frequent recurrence of infections
• Declining of a specific condition

The Patient Benefits

At Ameriprime Hospice, we provide Medicare benefit coverage that would cater to the needs of the patients receiving hospice care without deductions or co-payments. Hospice care is covered 100% by Medicare and Medicaid, meaning there are no out-of-pocket expenses for you or your family.

The four levels of care under the hospice program allow Ameriprime Hospice to serve our patients with compassionate care.

• ROUTINE HOME CARE: Patient receives hospice service in their own residence or in a facility. This is considered the basic level of care that is needed to provide and maintain patient needs.
• CONTINUOUS CARE: This is a 24 hour skilled nursing hospice care for temporary or short period during times of crises.
• GENERAL INPATIENT CARE: The patient is transferred to a contracted facility (i.e., Inpatient Skilled Nursing unit) that would provide round-the-clock hospice care during a crisis.
• RESPITE CARE: The patient is transferred to a contracted facility to give a caregiver or family members a short break whenever necessary, usually covered up to 5 days per respite episode.
